Trouble understanding MVVM (I am adding new post, because old went missing)

Hello!

Is there any fully working REST, CRUD, MVVM example that follows guidelines of documentation?

For a beginner like me it is not easy, because:

1. documentation is not continues, whole (there is always a missing piece)

2. examples do not follow documentation (namespacing, using new keyword, everything defined in runtime on document load)

Best example I could find was in http://ift.tt/1obda8R MVVM section.
