Components with lite DOMs

One of the main strength of Sencha lies in its widgets, Grid is one of their most used widgets. While I do like the craftmanship that they put into their widgets but it also makes them heavy, DOM hungry and pays high price for rendering due to the number of classes it attaches to its components.

A quick comparision of the grid widget with the compitition such as Webix (http://ift.tt/1EIQ2Wp) and KendoUI (http://ift.tt/1m0ef55) on the other hand are eaqualy beautiful and feature rich along with minimal DOMs and limited CSS.

I think their should be a proper balance in terms of features and the liteness, the current set is very rich in features. I understand that one cannot provide both feature and performance in the same widget but can create altogether new and lite widgets with limited features.

Is sencha thinking anything on those lines ?
