iOS time bar within the app

Hello,

I am using ST 2 and Phonegap to build my app and it appears that the bar in which the pieces of information like time, wifi, battery life, etc. is on top of my app on iOS. I think this is the case since iOS 7. This is a bit annoying because half of the top toolbar is not sensible to click events. Before this bar was still here but the screen devoted to the app did not include it. Is there a thing I can do to go back to this state?
