Sencha List - Double Vision

First I should mention I'm rather new to Sencha Touch.

I'm trying to create 2 lists, one with children objects of the object selected in the first list. This all gets saved in the local websql db. This works fine and dandy on the data side, but the children list shows doubles when an item is added. If I do a store.load after adding the item, this goes away, but I don't think I should have to do this since the stores autoSync is set to true. I don't have this issue in the first list.
