Touch Grid

If there is one thing about this Grid, it's how amazingly easy it is to configure for viewing data. It's even easy to make cells editable via the Editable Plugin that builds a form dynamically for editing from columns with the editable property set to true. I thought I had died and gone to Sencha Grid heaven.

Now we move onto actually editing and saving to a data store. This is the end of easy (and fun). There is no documentation or examples of something as simple (?) as using the submit button from the Editable Form to save the record to a "REAL" database, and not some foo example that has nothing to offer.

Normally this is what I envision happening.

When I click on the submit button below, I want an event to fire on my controller. Obviously there is all kinds of events working from the Plugin, but I'll pass on the risk of spending hours trying to figure all that out. Preferably with passing the record set as part of the arguments.

Can anyone explain how to configure the Editable Plugin to do this? I am increasing my frustration daily because I can't make any enterprise requirements work in this Framework without good examples.

Thank you,

Curtis Fisher
