What is the Random Number Generator used to control where code is displayed?

I am only asking cause I hope I can use this next time @ the Casino and playing craps!

I have a large view controller (larger than the screen vertical size), when I select a function in the project inspector, it will 1st display the code at the bottom of the screen, (only the 1st couple of lines are on the screen, so have to scroll to see the function), however, as I continue to click on functions in the inspector, its a crap shoot (Notice how I gracefully tied my comment re: casino to the problem) as to where the function will be displayed. Top, Middle or ????
