Pop up at app launch

I have an existing architect project using Sencha Touch that has a listview as the main page and a second page with details. It works great.

I now want to add a pop up dialog at launch for the user to enter an authentication token, which I plan to verify before allowing them to continue.

Could anyone give me a pointer on how to add this pop up capability to an existing Architect app?
