Sort of off topic, but I am wondering why alias is all lower case?

Really not at all important, but after a very well made margarita, my tired brain asked me to ask this question:

Most everywhere there is the use of camelCase, but I was told that the "best practices guru" decided, way back when, that the class alias should be all lowercase. I am wondering why? I know that I will use camel case for my reference and itemID, and the Class Name, except for 1st letter Capitalized, follows camel case. So I am curious the rational behind this.

I know its much easier for my old, tired eyes to read:

which is easier to read and check for typos:

readPotentialTrips or readpotentialtrips
