We've been using EXTJS for a number of years but realize that such a rich tool set has given us enough rope with which to hang ourselves. As we examine user interfaces we realize that there are sometimes three or four ways to accomplish the same thing. In the past we didn't worry too much about UI design as our toolset was limited (i.e. JSP/Struts/CSS).
We're writing/designing RIA desktop-looking web pages. I understand many of the concepts behind the RIA approach however I'd like to dwell deeper into RIA user interface design (not mobile or web). More specifically references that might act as a guide when making trade-off decisions so that all of our developers could implement a consistent look and feel.
I visited Amazon and was overwhelmed when searching for books on the topic. If anyone can provide me with some good references, Amazon or otherwise it would be appreciated. Thanks!
