HOW TO remove floating border with Panel?

Hi:

I have this Panel set with border=0 and floating=false, there is no border.

However when set floating=true and border=0, there is a border which I am clueless to get rid of.

The border shown with floating=true has a gradient effect. Looks good, but I need to hide it.

Anyone?
