new way of store config on components?

Hi,

I just stumbled upon this way of configuring a store in the lasted ExtJs 5 Kitchensink example for the TagField:

  type: 'states'
}

I've never seen the type config before. Is it new in ExtJs 5? And, what does it exactly do?
