   I have a border layout.
   
   The west panel is collapsed and hidden at startup.
   
   After a few time, I show it (collapsed) ; but the separator is not displayed.
   
   At first floating expand, the separator do appear which creates an offset of the main panel.
   
   After the separator always stays.
   

   I think the separator should be displayed on first show.
