Get rid of the border from the textbox portion of datefield.

I am using Ext.from.field.Date in one of my UI. Is there a way to get rid of border and add some additional styling to the textbox portion of the datefield? I tried modifying the cls config and it didn't work. What's the correct way to do it? Thank you!
