Can't select Grid panel on tabbing

Hi,

facing issue on tabbing, I need to select check boxes with in the GridPanel, using extjs 2.2 version. I am unable to select even grid panel. Also set the tab index for grid panel but cursor moves over the grid and tab goes to next control. Is there any property or way to do this.
